Crossroads motor tours: day to day, Tour 1 (12 Days)
>>Day 1 (dinner included)
Arrival in Chiang Mai and transfer to the Crossroads Guesthouse. In the evening everybody will meet for a nice Thai welcome dinner.
>>Day 2 (breakfast and lunch included)
Today we go for an introduction ride. We take the beautiful Samoeng loop, Distance = 130 km.
Overnight in Chiang Mai
>>Day 3
We drive to the south west of Chiang Mai and in Chom Thong we turn right and drive to the
top of Doi Inthanon, the highest mountain of Thailand. (2565 m.) On the way we visit the
beautiful Vachirathan water fall. After that we continue towards Khun Yuam where we will
arrive late afternoon. Distance = 243 km
>>Day 4
From Khun Yuam we drive to Mae Hong Son where we will visit a village of the Longneck people
and a temple on top of a hill with a beautiful view of the city. We continue on the Mae Hong
Son loop and visit the big Tham Lod cave in Soppong. Also we stop at a very colorful Lisu
hill tribe village. Overnight in the cozy backpackers town of Pai. Distance = 178 km
>>Day 5
From Pai via the Mae Ngat Dam to Phrao where we will spend the night in a beautiful resort surrounded by rice fields. Distance = 190 km
>>Day 6
We drive via Wiang Pa Pao to Phayao with its beautiful lake. From this lake they catch fresh
water shrimps and eat them alive (dancing shrimps). We continue to Nan. This 'forgotten'
province is hardly ever visited but very beautiful. Distance = 306 km.
>>Day 7
Today one of the most scenic roads through Doi Phukha national park. The road passes through
untouched forest. We will spend the night in a small town near Phu Chi Fa. Distance = 281
km
>>Day 8
Phu Chi Fa is a mountain on the border with a spectacular view of Laos. We drive to the top
and walk for about 20 minutes to the view point. After that along the border to Chiang Khong
on the Mekong river. Distance = 184 km.
>>Day 9
We drive to the Golden Triangle where we make a trip by speed boat on the Mekong river and
visit an island belonging to Laos. After that to Mae Sai, the border town with Burma. If you
want you can cross the border. Distance = 98 km
 >>Day 10
We go to Doi Tung to visit the famous temple with a splendid view of the surrounding
valley. After that we drive to Doi Mae Salong, a Chinese village on top of a mountain. When
Chairman Mao founded the Peoples Republic of China in 1949 the Kuomintang led by Chiang Kai
Shek had to escape. Most people went to Taiwan but a small group escaped to Thailand. We
visit the local market and we taste the famous Oolong tea. Over night in Chiang Rai.

 >>Day 11
We take a scenic route towards Chiang Mai. On the way we will stop at an elephant camp where
you can choose to do an elephant ride. Arrive in the afternoon in Chiang Mai where we will return our bikes. Overnight in Chiang Mai. Distance = 179 km.
>>Day 12
Free at leisure. We will bring you to the airport for your flight to Bangkok and connecting international flight. Or you have decided to extend your stay.
